Resin bound surfacing is a fully permeable paving system created by mixing UV-stable polyurethane resin with natural or crushed stone aggregates, then trowelling it onto a prepared base. The result is a smooth, seamless surface that allows water to drain through freely — making it SuDS compliant. With proper installation and occasional maintenance, resin bound surfaces last 15–25 years.

Tarmac driveways start from £1,800, with most residential driveways between £1,800 and £4,500 depending on size, the existing surface and any edging or drainage work. Most driveways are laid in a single day — walkable within hours and drivable within 24 hours — and every install carries a 5-year workmanship guarantee. Your price is fixed in writing after a free survey.
Absolutely. We use UV-stable, frost-resistant resins specifically selected for the Scottish climate. The permeable nature of resin bound surfaces means water drains through rather than pooling and freezing on top. We have hundreds of installations across Scotland that have performed flawlessly through multiple winters. Correct sub-base preparation is key — something our experienced teams always get right.
Resin overlays on a sound existing surface start from £80/m². Full dig-out installations — excavation, MOT Type 1 sub-base, edging and a permeable resin bound surface — start from £140/m² +VAT. Every quote is fixed in writing after a free on-site survey, and full installs carry a 15-year manufacturer warranty.
No, not any more. We carried out grant and ECO-funded insulation for around 10 years, but the schemes became more about paperwork than good work: assessors sent up from England who could not even fit through a loft hatch, endless forms and jobs held up for weeks. Most of our work was already private and commercial, so we decided to put all our effort into making that service better.
